Carnival Museum

The joy of the Barranquilla Carnival has no expiration date! The Carnival Museum invites you on a vibrant, immersive journey to the heart of Colombia's biggest party, a celebration declared a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

This museum, an annex to the emblematic Casa del Carnaval (Carnival House), is a space to explore the rich history and evolution of the Carnival through its exhibition halls. Wander its corridors and immerse yourself in a universe of colorful costumes, contagious sounds, and ancestral dances that bring its most iconic characters to life. It’s an educational and joyful experience, perfect for individuals, families, groups, and lovers of Colombian folklore.

In addition to the exhibition, the museum and its plaza offer unforgettable group experiences:

  • Live Carnival (Personalized Performance): A vibrant performance with Carnival characters who interact with visitors. Ideal for special events, corporate incentives, or school activities.
  • Traditional Dance Class: Learn the steps of the cumbia, garabato, or mapalé in a fun session where body and culture unite in harmony.
